In France, many ladies traditionally appreciate a verbena tea. This tea has an antispasmodic and relaxing effect and a beguiling, lemony fragrance.

In our country, the tea is becoming increasingly popular and has become an integral part of everyday life for many connoisseurs. The plant belongs to the verbena family (Verbenaceae) and is originally from Paraguay. The elongated, pointed leaves are dried and then cut. They contain around 0.5 per cent essential oil, which has a wonderful lemony scent. Although the shrub is not frost-resistant, it is also cultivated in Europe. However, we have opted for the first-class original variety from organic cultivation in Paraguay, because only this produces a special lemon flavour.

Herbal teas should be brewed at a water temperature of 95-98°C (leave the water to stand briefly in the kettle after boiling and wait until it stops boiling).
