A popular tourist destination in Switzerland is Mount Rigi, a mountain massif with the Rigi Kulm, which at 1797.5 metres above sea level is the highest of six peaks. The Rigi is surrounded by three lakes and is therefore almost completely embraced by water. Every summer, crowds of tourists flock to the summit to enjoy the marvellous view. But Mount Rigi is also famous for something else: the cherry brandy, which is distilled from the sweet red fruit that grows on the massive mountain slopes. The Mount Rigi Flavour Aperitif is produced by the Mount Rigi Distillery in Zug according to old recipes, has a slightly fruity citrus note in addition to the typical cherry flavour and should be served ice-cold as an aperitif.
