Made from one of the rarest grape varieties from the Lauvaux region. Saddened by the mundane and already somewhat outdated wine culture, River Söllner made this his vision to modernize Swiss wine culture and is not afraid to revolutionize the classic design of the wine bottle. Supported in his mission, he is supported by the most talented oenologists and winemakers from all over the region. Only the very best grapes are selected for production, which thus take their regular place in the VIKARUS bottle. Not only the quality of the wine meets the highest requirements of the clientele, but also the bottle of VIKARUS wines are absolutely unique. This is because each bottle has been additionally polished by hand to give it the corners and edges that, when viewed horizontally, represent the fields of Lavaux. The VIKARUS Heliodor II is a Pinos Gris from Lauvaux, which has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site and could hardly be more exclusive. With a percentage of just 0.9%, Pinot Gris is one of the rarest grape varieties in Lauvaux. This vintage, thanks to the particularly warm summer and little rain, captivates with a very light freshness and the fruitiness that is found almost nowhere.
